Speeding up your cell phone with new wireless technology of full-duplex transmissions
Prof. Changhee Joo has co-authored “Joint Subcarrier Assignment and Power Allocation in Full-Duplex OFDMA Networks”, appeared at IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. The article has addressed networking application of the recent advances in the physical layer of in-band wireless “full-duplex”, which enables a node to transmit and receive simultaneously on the same frequency band. The work develops an iterative full-duplex solution that achieves local Pareto optimality in typical scenarios, and demonstrates that the solution empirically achieves near-optimal performance and outperforms other resource allocation schemes designed for half-duplex networks.
