UNIST ECE, Seojin Choi has been selected as the IEEE ISSCC 2016 “Silkroad Award” winner
UNIST ECE graduate student, Seojin Choi, under supervision of Prof. Jaehyouk Choi, has been selected as the “Silkroad Award” winner for the 2016 IEEE ISSCC (International Solid-State Circuits Conference) in February in San Francisco.
ISSCC is called “the Olympic in the field of semiconductor circuit designs” and acknowledged as the single most prestigious conference in this field. Annually it has been attended by over 3000 semiconductor circuit designers from global industries and universities, and showed state-of-the-art semiconductor technology.
The “Silkroad Award” is a very honorable prize which presented to an outstanding paper showing great outcomes.Seojin Choi has received the “Silkroad Award” in achieving recognition of her paper. In this work, she proposed a novel clock-generating circuit for digital or wired-line applications, such as CPUs, Smartphone AP, or high-speed Ethernets. It dramatically improves noise performance and robustness, and shows outstanding performances compared to state-of-the-art conventional architectures.
